OUTDOOR EQUITY
access to outdoors and environmental justice for BYMOC, their families and communities
Since before 2017 T4B has hosted programming for outdoor equity including soccer tournaments but in the summer of 2019 the brothers started specific outdoor equity with biking, park activation and more. With COVID the focus was on connecting BYMOC, their families and communities to the outdoors especially biking and hiking. With support from the New Mexico Outdoor Equity Fund and other funders including Schmidt Family Foundation T4B has become a leader with seasonal project cohorts to increase access to outdoor recreation biking maintenance and safety, biking infrastructure, environmental justice, rules of the road for BYMOC from most impacted communities including Downtown, International District and Westgate.
Since 2022 T4B has participated with the 30x30 and America the Beautiful for All (ATB4A) Urban Parks and Green Space Work Group and other local, state and national advocacy for outdoor equity.
